Cadbury has begun trials of paper packaging in Australia and New Zealand as it looks at ways to reduce and phase out plastic wrappers.
This is the first time Cadbury has used a fully-sealed paper material.
Reports suggest the paper material will not include laminates, foils or plastic for fully sealed flow-wrap packaging, although this has not been conformed by owner Mondelēz UK.
