VAT to increase from 5% to 20% on Solar Panels from 1 October 2019 - A Petition has started





HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is set to increase VAT from 5% to 20% for the installation of a number of renewable and sustainable energy sources, such as solar panels from 1st October.

With the current climate emergency, the HMRC should be encouraging renewables by removing VAT not increasing it.
